Luxury chalet with private indoor pool in Nendaz
Chalet Kalibu sits high above Haute-Nendaz in the quiet Les Clèves area, with open views across the Rhône Valley. It sleeps 12 in six en-suite bedrooms, and its standout feature is something very few chalets in Nendaz have: a private 8 x 5m indoor pool, heated to 30°C, with a gas fireplace alongside. The pool house is attached to the chalet and reached by an underground passage, so you can go from your bedroom to a swim in a bathrobe, even while it’s snowing outside.
The chalet is built over three levels. The middle floor is where everyone ends up: an open-plan lounge and dining room with a real-flame gas fire, a kitchen set up for big groups (two ovens, two dishwashers), and doors straight out to a large sun terrace and balcony. A mezzanine study overlooks the living space, which is handy if someone needs an hour of work while the others ski.
The master suite takes the whole top floor. A double-sided fireplace sits between the bedroom and bathroom, so you can see the fire from the bed or from the deep soaking bath, and there’s a wet room and twin basins too. The other five bedrooms are on the lower floor, each with its own bathroom and TV, next to the cinema room and the passage through to the pool. Four of the six bedrooms can be made up as twins, which makes Kalibu easy for families and groups of friends who aren’t all sharing.
It works just as well in July as in February. In winter, ski out towards the Tracouet gondola and come back to a swim by the fire. In summer, park the car, light the gas barbecue and use the pool after a day on the trails.
From CHF 10,300 per week in summer — around CHF 860 per person when all 12 beds are filled.

Chalet Kalibu in summer
Summer is when Kalibu is most underrated. Rates are at their lowest — from CHF 10,300 for a week, or CHF 8,500 for a 1–4 night short break — you can park at the door, and the garden, terrace and gas barbecue come into their own.
The Tracouet gondola lifts you up to Lac Noir and the high hiking trails, there are gentle bisse walks for all ages, and the new Tracouet flowtrail gives mountain bikers of every level something to ride. Then you come home to a heated pool that nobody else is using.

Getting there and parking
A car is recommended year-round.
Summer: park near the chalet.
Winter: a 4×4 or snow chains are mandatory to reach the Les Clèves car park.
- Three parking spaces at Les Clèves are reserved for Chalet Kalibu
- From the car park it’s a 5–10 minute walk along a flat path, depending on the snow and your pace
- Or take the Polaris Ranger transfer: two guests plus the driver, and luggage, per trip
- Three transfer trips per group are included on arrival and departure day — enough for the luggage, but with a full group of 12 at least half of you will walk
- Extra trips (a shopping run, or guests arriving on different days) cost extra, are paid to the driver, and need booking 24 hours ahead
- Two more spaces sit at the foot of the garden in winter — 4×4s only, and only when snow conditions allow
Walking to the village centre: about 15 minutes down the footpath, which can be icy in winter, or 20 minutes by road. Allow longer for the walk back up.
