Chalet Le Dahu — A Flexible Family Chalet in Les Clèves

Chalet Le Dahu sits in Les Clèves, the same quiet, elevated pocket of Nendaz as Kalibu, Ighzer and Sorbier — set back from the village with open mountain views and no through traffic. It’s built for families who don’t want to compromise: five flexible double/twin bedrooms plus a bunk room for the kids, five bathrooms between them, a sauna included in every stay for the whole group, and a home cinema for the evenings nobody wants to go back out in the cold.

Across two floors, the top floor holds two en-suite double/twin bedrooms — one with a shower, one with a bath — sharing a separate toilet between them. Downstairs, two further en-suite doubles/twins sit either side of a bunk room with four adult-sized beds and its own bathroom with a bath: five bedrooms and five bathrooms in total, plus that extra toilet upstairs. The open-plan lounge and dining area is built around a wood-burning fire, with a separate home cinema — Smart TV and DVD player — for a quieter night in. The kitchen comes with a Nespresso and filter coffee machine, and the sauna, with its own shower near the entrance, is there for the whole group, every day of your stay.

This chalet is non-smoking. Small and medium-sized dogs are welcome on request, subject to the owner’s approval — send us a note about your dog when you enquire. We’re not able to accept cats.

Skiing from Chalet Le Dahu

Chalet Le Dahu isn’t genuine ski-in/ski-out, and the honest version is still a good one: when snow conditions allow, a snowy path leads from the chalet down to the Jean-Pierre piste, about 300m away — the run then continues on to the Tracouet gondola, roughly 5 minutes further for an average skier.

Skiing back is possible but has real conditions attached — it isn’t along a piste, and partway back you’ll cross a cleared path, best done on foot with your skis off before continuing through unpisted terrain to the chalet. If that’s not for you, the walk back is straightforward: a nearly flat road, under 300m to the chalet.

Either way, the sauna is waiting when you get back.

Families get the run of Les Clèves once the snow’s gone — the same short walk that leads to the Jean-Pierre piste in winter turns into an easy route onto the hiking trails above the resort, and the sauna is just as welcome after a long day’s walk as after a day on the slopes. Home Cinema & Family Spaces

Home cinema: Smart TV and DVD player, in its own room off the lounge — built for family movie nights, not just background TV. Combined with the bunk room and the flexible bedrooms, it’s what makes Le Dahu work as well for two families sharing as for one large group.

Les Clèves is a private, elevated pocket of Nendaz with no direct road access to the chalets in winter — parking is a short walk away, or a quick shuttle ride, rather than right outside the door.

Getting There & Parking

• A car is essential all year.
• Winter parking: private car park at Les Clèves (2 spaces), about an 8–10 minute walk from the chalet. Direct car access to the chalet itself isn’t possible in winter.
• Winter access: a 4×4 or snow chains are required to reach the car park.
• Included transfer: a Polaris Ranger (up to 2 passengers plus luggage) covers three return trips on arrival and departure days; further trips can be arranged with 24 hours’ notice. If your group arrives at different times or days, additional transfers are available at an extra cost, payable to the chauffeur at the time of the transfer.
• Summer parking: two spaces at the chalet itself.
• Haute-Nendaz centre: about 20 minutes downhill by road, or 15 minutes on the hiking path — allow longer coming back up.
• Check-in / check-out: arrival from 4:30pm, departure by 10am.
